Get to know me as...

I am a Rhode-Island-born, first-generation University of South Florida graduate who has been practicing graphic design since seventh grade. A true digital native, I apply my vibrant and playful lens to branding and social media through informed research especially for small and/or minority-owned businesses, but I have no aversion to dialing into corporate needs, as well.

Using my graphic arts degree in conjunction with my leadership studies minor, I considers myself always open to feedback, approachable, adaptable, and an enthusiastic learner whether working solo or on large and small teams alike.

My next step to grow as a designer and person is I am currently in the process of obtaining Google's UX Design and Project Management certifications and I am also in the process of learning Spanish; It never hurts to be able to talk to more friends!

Outside of design, you will frequently see me playing video games (mainly Valorant), reading, cuddling my three dogs (Cleo, King, and Kortez), enjoying a nice breakfast, and frequently going to Universal!

SovDesigns derives from the word "Sovereign" meaning supreme ruler or possessing ultimate power. MaKenzie has adopted this word into her life motto of having the ultimate power over your life's opportunities.
